Waiting For Bunny To Poop…. 25th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I got up early this morning, before 5am, hoping to catch Bunny pooping….
But he only showed me this (peeing). Twice.
No poop at his usual place. There was a big one there yesterday, after the rain, but I cannot be sure if it’s his. I need to see it with my own eyes, he doing it.
His morning medication – the Lactulose and the Omeprazole. See how I’ve made the capsule so much smaller?

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 24th Mar 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
Many dogs who enter our shelter gates have never felt the kind touch of a human. They don’t know if they can trust us through years of being all alone. Juturna's story is quite different. He does trust us. But why?
Juturna and his owner were inseparable. Until one day, for reasons we will never understand, his owner moved house and left him on the street, all alone. Neighbours did their best to feed him each day, but Juturna would pace around the streets looking for his best friend. He could n...

Bunny, Did You Poop? 24th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I don’t know if he did….
I left the house for taiji for about 2 hours this afternoon, so I wasn’t able to monitor him.
But he ate very well just now, there’s been no vomiting and he is as happy as a lark.
I have already given him the 2nd dose of Lactulose and his ear drops.
I wish I could feel his colon and check for the presence of stools, but tried as I did, I could not feel it at all. Sigh…
So, I’ll just watch him for tonight to see if there’...

Heidi And Her Box 24th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
Whenever there is a new box in the house….
If it fits, I sit.
But Tabs goes by that principle too – it definitely fits, so she sits.
And Tabs isn’t budging.
How about this nice white basket instead, Heidi?
But I want that new box….
There are old boxes in the kitchen, all laid out, but no, it has to be this new box.
Later, there was a huge cat-and-mouse chase in the kitchen, battling for the box.
And now?
Okay, game over, we can send the box for recycling already&h...

Over The Years In Malaysia, Forest Fragmentation C.. 24th Mar 2019, by Roots & Shoots Malaysia
Over the years in Malaysia, forest fragmentation caused by the changes in human land use activities has been a main concern for sustainability 🌎. Activities such as illegal wildlife hunting and the collection of highly valuable agarwood, commercial logging, land conversion and infrastructure development has left us with far less forest area than we initially had 🙅♂️. How much more can we take from our forests before it is too late ? 🌿

Bunny Goes To The Vet (constipation And Early Kidney Degeneration) 24th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I noticed Bunny crouching this morning, like he was straining to defecate.
Then, he vomited all his breakfast out. I waited a bit, and gave him some canned chicken, which he was able to retain but later, he vomited clear bile.
In 2014, Bunny had a chronic vomiting episode which no vet could figure out, and finally, it resolved by itself, after months. Even did TCM and that did not work either.
Being FIV+, Bunny has had a long and colourful medical history.
So, not taking any chances, I took him ...

Getting Mr Zurik To Eat (more) 24th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
Mr Zurik started being the perfect host to Buddy (the neighbour’s cat). He welcomed Buddy to the porch, shared his food and left food for him.
Mr Z was a very gracious host.
Then, Buddy took advantage of him and started snatching his food.
This was during the time when I was busy with looking after Vincent and did not have time to monitor the entire feeding session in the porch.
Mr Zurik started losing weight and became quite thin.
Now, we have to shoo Buddy away because Mr Zurik doesn&rsq...

Bunny And Ginger 24th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
From one super-alpha to another fast-becoming-alpha….
https://myanimalcare .org/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/WhatsApp-Video-201 9-03-22-at-17.46.28.mp4
Bunny does not spare Ginger and Heidi. But he remembers Tabs and will not attack her.
Heidi is terrified of Bunny and runs whenever Bunny comes out. But Ginger stands his ground (is he standing his ground or he thinks the whole world is good, we are not sure).

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 24th Mar 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
This beautiful little girl is Jagannatha. As her owner didn’t bother to have her spayed, she ended up giving birth to four little pups. So her owner dumped her and her babies at the side of a busy road. They are lucky to be alive. Please donate at https://bit.ly/Jagannatha_and_her_pups so that rescues like this can continue!
This little family was found by a Good Samaritan on his way to work. He spotted the tiny pups running around the road while their mother desperately struggled to control ...

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 24th Mar 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
Are you looking for a loyal companion? I am your guy! My name is Kenkai and I’m looking for a place to call home.
Before coming to Soi Dog, I lived on the streets of Thailand. I was well fed and well cared for. However, the lady that cared for me and my furry friends had to leave, so she brought us to Soi Dog to ensure we would stay safe and healthy. I have adjusted well to life at the shelter but cannot wait to find my own home. I enjoy meeting new volunteers and become super friendly and a...
