VETERAN SHIELDS CAR-STRUCK DOG WITH HIS OWN BODY

Iraq war veteran Aaron Schneider crossed three lanes of highway traffic to shield the body of a beagle who had been struck by a car in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

It's not easy to cool down in the sands of Dahab, Egypt. But hundreds of dogs at Janet Johnson's rescue center there are trying to do just that by napping in buckets of water or in little caves they've dug out under the rocks.

Smoochy, rescued from a glue board trap when she was 3 weeks old, finds love happily ever after!
Some time in October 2013, Smoochy was actually reported to our rescue department, as she was seen stuck on a glue board trap in a school.
A fair bit of manoeuvring and a lot of vegetable oil later, we managed to get her off the glue board and successfully removed the excess glue on her body.
