A Gentle Reminder Of Our Policies 14th Feb 2014, by AnimalCare
My apologies first, to our regular readers, because I have to keep repeating myself every few months regarding this issue. This is because we have new readers and new applicants all the time which necessitates this gentle reminder.
These are our policies: www.myanimalcare.org/subsidy/.
We wish to draw your attention to the parts in red below:
Our funds are NOT open to:
1. pet-owners who apply for their pets
2. animal welfare organisations, groups, shelters and their members
3. animal caregivers ...

SHOULD THEY CUT IT DOWN?
400- year-old trees are in danger of being taken down to create townhouses. Harmony Fund supporter Janet McKee has asked if some of you might have 10 seconds to sign a petition to protect the land in her community on Staten Island. You don’t have to live in New York, or even America, to sign it. The petition is here http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/eminent-domain-fo r-mount/

WE'RE MAKING SNOW-COVERED SURVIVAL MUCH EASIER
http://harmonyfund.org/donate/winter-rescue -mission-ice-snow-wont-stop-us
With another snowstorm upon us, the "gravy train" is in motion. Meals were delivered to many feral cats this morning, despite the dangerous driving conditions. Each of the colonies we care for have ample, weatherized shelters. A HUGE thank you to all of you who are supporting our international winter rescue projects. What a difference your love makes!

Dr Jane Goodall And Wounda 13th Feb 2014, by AnimalCare
Akmar shared this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-255 7961/Thanks-The-touching-moment-chimp-nursed-healt h-hugs-carer.html
As the door to Wounda’s box is opened, she scampers around but stays close to her human caregivers.
She stands on top of her box and sits down to take in her new surroundings.
Then, without thinking, she turns and hugs Dr. Goodall in a moving moment of tenderness between human and chimpanzee.
The embrace between the two appears to last for several minutes.
No...

Timmy Tips The Scales At….(you’ll Be Surprised!) 13th Feb 2014, by AnimalCare
Timmy requested that I write this post, in his defense. Apparently, he checked our Facebook page and found that 250 people (and still counting!) had read the post entitled “Plump, chubby, portly….” and he wants to defend himself.
This one: http://myanimalcare.org/2014/02/12/plump-chu bby-portly-round-chunky-paunchy-and-prosperous/
So he requested that I take these photos of him…with him posing at a more “accurate” angle, you know….
See? It was the angl...

Tocik the Tiny in Kuala Lumpur
http://www.petfinder.my/pets/53381
You need a magnifying glass to see Tocik. She's so small she's auditioned for Thumbelina, but she didn't get the role because the author didn't think hairball is a fantastic bribing gift.
Now Tocik just sits around with no job, no house, no catnip; miserable. Probably that Harry Potty movie needs a reboot, and they might need a kitten to carry letter instead. Tocik needs to get ready for that.
Tocik needs a house with room for ...

Updates On 13th Feb 2014 13th Feb 2014, by SPCA Singapore
Just a day before Chinese New Year, we received a call about a cat stuck in a tree. Our Junior Inspectors (JIs) arrived on the scene and made many attempts to rescue the hapless cat. Unfortunately, we did not have the necessary equipment. The cat was high up in an inverted cone-shaped tree with many branches in the way, preventing us from using our ladders safely. We sought assistance from the AVA, NParks & NEA. Eventually, NParks responded to our call for help. Initial rescue attempts failed as...
