Adoption Spotlight: (clockwise from top left) Twinkle, Ash, Cookie and Snow.
These 4 rabbits are all waiting for good homes! Twinkle and Ash are good-looking Holland Lops, Cookie is our darling cross Lionhead, and Snow is a lovely Dwarf rabbit. They're all cute and fluffy, but require regular grooming and maintenance to keep their coat healthy. The families who adopt these lovely bunnies must not mind fur flying around their houses! Angel the Brave in Puchong
http://www.petfinder.my/pets/53761
Perhap s Angel can teach you a thing or two about life; to never give up even when life has beaten you down to the ground, and use the two limbs that you have left to stand up and fight!
Life's too short for self-pity and complaining how unfair the world is. Angel refuses to just lie on the floor and play dead. He's way stronger than that! Tough life for tough poodle, yet no less heroic than Chuck Norris and no less capable than Sta...

A Clue About Where Willy Went 18th Feb 2014, by AnimalCare
We were on our way out when we saw Willy under my car this evening. This was after the rest had had their dinner at the patio. I had already promised Willy canned food for dinner, so I had to keep my word.
Upon closer examination of his “bald ear”, it looked like there is a scar, which could be a natural scar or even a suture scar.
You see that black scar?
Doesn’t that look like a suture scar?
Now, here’s what we hypothesise: Willy must have been injured and was caged...

Daffodil Up Against Marcel…single-Handedly Too 18th Feb 2014, by AnimalCare
Last night, there was the sound of fierce cat-fight in the porch.
I thought it was the usual Mr Zurik vs Vincent again, but usually these two only do harmless head-butts and noise-making. Never so fiercely.
Nope, this must be really an outsider at work.
A quick check found Mr Zurik looking bewildered at the patio (like saying: What?? Why do you always suspect it’s me??) while Heidi, Ginger, Vincent and Timmy were all inside the house, all looking very alarmed and worried.
Oh no…
Who ...

Updates On 18th Feb 2014 18th Feb 2014, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
The ACRES wildlife sanctuary needs constant maintenance for it to provide our animals with a comfortable living environment. The weather has been very dry and hot in the past two months and it has been forcing our tortoises to seek shelter, only coming out in the later afternoon or when it is cooler. We had initially put up shade nets to filter the sun but this has been insufficient.
To improve shade conditions, we are currently transplanting Banana plants and putting up bigger shade nets to pr...

Guess Who Came For Breakfast? Willy’s Back!! 18th Feb 2014, by AnimalCare
This must be Willy’s longest secret mission! He had been gone for more than two weeks now and I was resigned to the fact that his family (we just assume he has a home) had taken him away somewhere.
But this morning, as I started my car to get to work, an orange coloured cat came scuttling out from under my cat and it was….
Willy!!!
Where have you been all this while, Willy??
(Of course it’s a secret mission, so…shh!)
He looked a little thinner than before and his left e...

In Loving Memory Of Wii 18th Feb 2014, by AnimalCare
Wii passed away on Sunday morning. It has taken his adopter and my dear friend, Roselin, two days to grieve and mourn, and rightly so, as we all need to grieve and mourn before we can come to terms with our loss. I was in shock for the whole of Sunday too, and I would only write about it yesterday: http://myanimalcare.org/2014/02/17/the -privilege-of-being-a-free-roaming-cat/
My daughter and I wound Wii and his sister, Vixey, in a rubbish heap at the playground in October 2007. Someone must hav...
