3 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD LEASH YOUR DOG We recently received a number of calls regarding dog owners letting their fur kids run free in public spaces so we’re here to remind every dog owner to leash up. Here’s why: 1. You can be fined up to S$5,000 for not leashing your dog in public spaces. No one wants to break the law, especially in Singapore. You could buy at least 2000 kopi pengs with that money (or donate the money to SPCA). 2. You don’t want your dog accidentally running to the...

Photos From ACRES: Animal Concerns Research And Education Society (Singapore)'s Post
16th Jul 2019, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” ― Aristotle It’s a challenge we gladly take on to inspire kids of all ages to show compassion and respect for animals. With student groups coming forward to continue the ripple effect of animal advocates, Education Executives Edwina Lim and Raj Kumar mentored these students for their event that spanned across 15 days, educating participants on wildlife coexistence and cruelty-free living. If you’re a parent or a...

Neutering Aid For 2 Dogs In Batang Kali (Yeap Yin May’s)
16th Jul 2019, by AnimalCare

We have provided an aid of RM240 for the neutering of these 2 dogs. Please find attached collages of two dogs I have brought for neutering recently. Been feeding this black female stray for the past 6 months. Located off an isolated stretch of shop houses. By the time we managed to catch her, she had already given birth to three puppies. I only sent her for spaying after getting all three puppies adopted. The original intention was to place her back there and I will continued to feed and care ...

Zurik’s Mid-Week Report
16th Jul 2019, by AnimalCare

A few days ago, we increased Zurik’s Vetri DMG to 0.5ml twice a day. Previously, it was just once a day. The vet agreed there was no harm in doing so. Hopefully, this increase would help slow down the progress of the FIP disease. Coincidentally with the increase in the Vetri DMG, I noticed some loose skin hanging down from his belly the next day. I don’t know whether this is a good sign (could the fluids have decreased and hence there is loose skin hanging down now?). We will wait f...

A Stabilised CNRM Colony In Ipoh (Dr Sathiah Devi A/p Subramaniam’s)
16th Jul 2019, by AnimalCare

When Dr Sathiah first wrote to us on 19th March 2019 about her CNRM work in Ipoh, we agreed to help her with the remaining 8 dogs to be neutered. She had, on her own, neutered some of the dogs by then. She also gets them vaccinated using her own funds and the injured ones are all given medical treatment.  She feeds them daily after work. As it turned out, a few new dogs came into the colony, so as it stands now, we have helped her with the neutering of 12 dogs. One of the dogs got adopted i...
