Blackie And Friends, Neutered And Treated

Blackie is one of the many cats looked after by Maslinda. Maslinda and her friends are independent rescuers.Blackie was neutered recently while his two other friends were treated at the clinic. The operation and treatment are subsidised from our funds.1. atam- partially blind when rescued. sent there coz his right eye was swollen2. cow - mange problem (she is lolo's siblings, sent her to vet 4 times to treat her mange. now she is mange free)

Calico Is Discharged!

I went to visit Calico after my talk this morning and found her waiting for company... So lonely in a BIG room all by herself now that Mekee and Russian have been discharged. I'm pretty sure she is on heat. She keeps wanting to nuzzle all the time. I asked permission from the vet to feed Calico, since they do not have time to give her frequent meals. That's Hill Science ID. Calico is to be given 1/4 can. So, so hungry....which is a good sign because she's trying to regain her...

It was a totally mad day for me yesterday. I spent more than 2 hours settling the KTAJ 3 cats and 1 dog at the PJ vet, and after that I rushed back to Subang Jaya to take the blueys for their deworming. Last month, Aimy Rashid asked for help to vaccinate 6 kittens under our subsidy. One was found to have diarrhoea and another had already been vaccinated. So, only four were done. Yesterday, Aimy asked for help again, for the 2nd vaccination, and she asked if we could sponsor. She also asked for her other kittens. We do not have the provision to sponsor vaccinations. When the very unfortunate and tragic Pet Boarding Cruelty case surfaced on Sunday (that's just 7 days ago), I immediately offered our help with all the cats that needed medical attention.It was a Sunday, and our panel vets were closed, so the cats were sent to a vet in PJ. Hero Goes Home!

The vets were satisfied and happy with Hero's progress and declared him fit for discharge today. So, Azie came over and took him home. No more bulge!No more hernia.Hero is a completely adorable, cheeky and (not forgetting) handsome cat. He got Azie to let him out to play in her room!
